Summer fun is a great time for learning news skills and improving other skills. These camp formats are five consecutive days, 3 hour per day, gives players ample time for repetition, individualized instruction, group exercises, and full court games. Skills are showcased at the end of each day, and players are encouraged to develop integrity, self-discipline and gratitude. Players are given camp certificates reporting their strengths and areas to focus working on, and are sent home with a work out page to record progress at home.
When school begins, schedules fill up with many activities, scholastic and extra-curricular. The Fall Clinic offers 1 day a week to refresh and maintain skills learned throughout the year. Players are challenged to set personal goals, and practice weekly with homework exercises that they report to Coach Heather each week.
Prior to winter basketball tryouts, this "Fun"damental basketball Clinic offers competitive practice and game-like situations to brush up on old skills, and learn new ones. Practices run 1.5 - 2 hours long, and lead up to winter recreation league tryouts in November.
"My kids love to work out with IHA because it is fun, but they learn many good skills like: rebounding, defense and offense. The coaches work hard to challenge them to play hard, and they love to play the games at the end of practice!" - Amy Sullivan mother of sibling players.
