Built on John Wooden's Pyramid of Success, integrity is what is woven into each lesson. There is no substitute for hard work, and repetition. Coaches address the whole player: mind, body and soul. Skills like listening and following simple instruction help each player develop sound habits for achieving success in sports and in life.
IHA is suited for the player who wants to build skill and level. Basketball skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding are fine-tuned for optimum performance. Volleyball skills like passing, setting, hitting, serving, blocking and defense are practiced. All skills are executed in game-like situations and ends in full court games at the end of each session.
Thorough, directed skill work, enforced by guided practice and ongoing assessment is the key to success for each player. Each session offers group and individual instruction. Homework is assigned weekly, and a players are offered practice drills to implement after clinic sessions finish. This program is helpful to supplement club programs and/or recreational league play.
